NewDem Action Fund Congratulates NewDems Adam Schiff & Colin Allred on Their Impressive Senate Primary Victories

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund celebrated NewDem Reps. Adam Schiff (CA-30) and Colin Allred’s (TX-32) impressive Senate primary victories as they vie to be the next U.S. Senators from California and Texas, respectively.

Following the Super Tuesday wins, NewDem Chair Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement:

“I couldn’t be happier to see my fellow NewDem friends and colleagues, Reps. Adam Schiff and Colin Allred, win big last night in their respective U.S. Senate primaries. Adam and Colin are fantastic candidates who are focused on finding common sense solutions to the problems facing hardworking Americans, whether it’s lowering prescription drug prices or improving safety in their communities. As the results from last night show, their message is resonating with voters. Adam and Colin share our pragmatic approach to politics, and there is no doubt they’ll carry the successes and lessons learned as part of NewDems with them on the campaign trail and eventually into the Senate. NewDems will support them every step of the way and look forward to seeing more NewDem representation in the Senate in 2025!”

Rep. Adam Schiff cleared the top-two primary in California, and will face Republican Steve Garvey in the general election. As of Wednesday morning, he was the top vote-getter in the all-party jungle primary.

Rep. Colin Allred won the Texas Democratic primary outright, receiving more than 50% of the vote and avoiding a run-off election. He will face far-right Trump ally Sen. Ted Cruz in the general election.
